Regulated, artisanal and agricultural activities

Certain professions and activities are strictly regulated by law and require specific authorisations or qualifications to be carried out.

Why this matters

• Qualification: supporting evidence must be provided at registration

• Registered office: for certain activities (catering), particular attention must be paid to the address of the principal establishment, which must be the actual place where the catering activity is carried out (e.g. if a restaurant's principal establishment is at the director's home, the commercial court registry will reject the application)

Artisanal activities refer to trades requiring manual skill and technical expertise.

Why this matters

• Registration with the Répertoire des Métiers: the company must be registered with the Registre des Métiers (RM) or the relevant Chambre des Métiers et de l'Artisanat (CMA)
