Covid and electronic signatures
Although electronic signatures had been legal since 2017, they were rarely used. With lockdown in March 2020 they quickly became essential, accelerating the adoption of digital tools in company secretarial work.
Open data
There was a time when company documents were only accessible through paid services like Infogreffe. The 2019 PACTE law changed the game by opening up access to INPI data, offering free information on 5.9 million companies.
Blockchain and digital registers
Share transfer registers used to have to be kept on paper. Since the 2018 blockchain ordinance, they can now be digitised and maintained electronically on a blockchain, modernising corporate administration.
